A post-16 class from Niels Chapman Secondary School is based at Waltham Forest College. Key skills are taught by the Whitefield staff in the class base at the college. The project involves the students accessing vocational courses, delivered by college staff as follows: catering and hospitality, car mechanics, creative arts and multi-skills. Whitefield staff are supporting the college to ensure that they meet the students’ individual needs.
Students’ feedback is all very positive as they relish the independence opportunities they have such as using the cafeteria and mixing with college students. They all report feeling more grown up. These photos show some of the challenging activities within their curriculum.
