The LPPA Award is given to schools committed to getting parents involved and providing the best possible commmunication. We are delighted to have recieved it for a second time.
Whitefield first received an LPPA Award in 2013, but it needs to be renewed every three years. As part of the process, an LPPA assessor visits the school and looks at evidence of the way that the school works with parents
Gill Wadeson, Family Support Team Manager said "I am really pleased that we have been awarded the LPPA award for the next three years. Whilst I was putting together the evidence portfolio, I realised how far we have come in the past three years in welcoming, encouraging and supporting parents in school and how we have taken comments, suggestions and ideas from parents and incorporated them in the everyday life of the school.
Our assessor had nothing but praise for all the staff, parents and students she met and instead of staying for 3 hours she stayed for 6 so that she could see around the school, meet people and even attend an assembly. Thank you to staff and parents that took part in the day."
