24 new teacher training places announced at Whitefield Teaching School Alliance

Whitefield Teaching School Alliance has been selected to provide 24 'School Direct' teacher training places in the next academic year. Applications for the places, will be taken through the UCAS Web site from October 28th. 

The School Direct Training Programme focuses on developing the teaching profession, through a school-centred approach. Placements in the classroom are a key component of the course. Whitefield works with the University of East London and other members of our teaching school alliance to provide training and placements.

Students interested in training to teach primary-age children with special educational needs will recieve placements at

  • Whitefield Schools
  • Hornbeam Academy
  • Treehouse School
  • Belmont Park School
  • Hillingdon Manor School

Secondary school positions are all in mainstream teaching, with placements at:

  • Highams Park
  • Hillingdon Manor School
  • Heathcote School
