Whitefield has always sought to work in partnership with colleagues in this country and abroad. The school archives note that we were welcoming international visitors more than fifty years ago.

Today, we have active links with schools across the world, both playing host to international teachers and students and visiting overseas special educational needs settings.

  • Malaysia's Deputy Minister for Education Visits Whitefield.

    This week Whitefield was honoured to be visited by Datuk Mary Yap, Deputy minister for education in Malaysia.

    Mary came to the UK to study best practice in special education and was delighted to spend an afternoon at Whitefield where she visited classes and discussed teaching approaches with members of the senior leadership team. She was impressed by the provision and commented on the quality of care which children and young people receive across the school.

  • Visitors from Lithuania

    Whitefield hosted a group of 45 teachers and staff from the Ministry of Education from Lithuania who were in England as part of best practice study group.  The teachers were particularly interested in SEN and support structures for families.
