Barts Health NHS Trust received two awards at the recent Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) awards.

Barts' work supporting Project SEARCH's internship programme for young people with autism and/or learning disabilities won the Trust a highly commended certificate in the Inclusive Recruitment Award 2015. Barts has supported the work for the last three years at Whipps Cross Hospital, and continues to extend its involvement.

Barts was also awarded highly commended in the Personal Fair & Diverse (PFD) Award 2015  based on the Trust-wide Culture Change programme that saw increased channels for raising concerns in the workplace and amplified ‘staff voice’.

Jamie Bargeman SEARCH Manager said: "I'd like to thank Barts and more specifically the team at Whipps Cross Hospital for their amazing support. In particular the outstanding contribution of our business liason Alastair Wilson at Whipps"

Barts Health NHS Trust has also been nominated for an award in the category of Diversity and Inclusion at the Personnel Today 2015 Awards for their work with Project SEARCH at Whipps Cross Hospital. The ceremony will take place at the Dorchester Hotel in December.
