  • Mark Carney shows off £10 note features to Joseph Clarke pupils

    Joseph Clarke School was visited by the Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney and the Chief Cashier Victoria Cleland on Thursday. Ms Cleland's name may be a little less recognisable than the Governor's, but her signature appears on every new bank note and she is in charge of everything in the Bank of England to do with physical bank notes.

  • A and AS-Level success

    We had one A-Level student this year and we are absolutely delighted that she has gained 3 A-levels in English language, French and Sociology. We are also congratulating two pupils who have been awarded AS –Levels.

  • Congratulations to Joseph Clarke's SATS sitters

    Congratulations to our four Year 6 pupils who took the new-style Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) this year -  all are visually impaired and two are Braille users. The fact that they successfully sat the tests represents a considerable achievement and is a testament both to their hard work and to the support given by their teacher Deborah Barrett and her team. We are delighted with the results.

  • Exhibition shows students' sculptures cast in bronze

    Bronze sculptures by Joseph Clarke students were displayed in the Parasol Unit Gallery in Islington last week. The sculptures, by Reece, Sam, and Shanee are sale for between £720 and £960, with proceeds going towards the purchase of new BrailleNote digital braillers for the school.

  • Ofsted praises 'Good' Joseph Clarke School

    Ofsted published its inspection report for Joseph Clarke School today, rating it ‘Good’ across the board and picking out many aspects for particular praise. It paints a picture of a school where “leaders and managers have a strong sense of ambition for all pupils underpinned by a very caring ethos” and where pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural experiences are promoted “exceptionally well through a rich curriculum”.
