Administrative assistant – Whitefield Schools

We are looking to recruit an admin assistant to work during term times as part of our friendly administrative team. The team is crucial to support the school’s smooth running and we are looking for a person who will be as committed to our special needs pupils as we are.

You’ll be liaising with parents and staff so you need to be able to communicate clearly. You need to be be confident with Microsoft Word and other office IT as you will be responsible for the administration of the ParentPay cashless school dinner system, provide cover on the switchboard and working with SIMS data.  Full training will be given, but experience with these systems is a bonus.  

  • Hours: 36 x 45 weeks (9am – 5pm) term time only
  • Salary Scale 2: Actual salary £17,981 per year
  • Start Date: As soon as Disclosure and Barring Service check is received.

Whitefield Academy Trust comprises two special schools for pupils aged 3 – 19, both situated in the London Borough of Waltham Forest (but attracting referrals from a much wider area).

Whitefield Schools has an international reputation in special education expertise, curriculum and resources.  The School provides specialist education for pupils with complex needs including communication and interaction difficulties.

Joseph Clarke School is highly regarded for its expertise in visual impairment. Both Schools attract pupils from across London and surrounding counties with SEN.  Together the schools have more than 425 pupils on roll.

Whitefield’s Research and Development Centre provides support, training and resources for both school staff and other professionals. It also hosts an excellent library and an Outreach Service which supports pupils across 4 Local Authorities.
