As you know, School will be fully open for all children from Monday 7th September 2020. Here is an update on arrangments for the return to school
We would like to pay tribute to the resilience and hard work of our Entry level, GCSE and A-Level students during a very difficult year. Our students have worked incredibly hard and we are very proud of their results.
Whitefield Academy Trust will submit plans for a new community training café to the council later this month. If accepted and if consultation with local residents goes well – construction of the new café in the park opposite Joseph Clarke School could begin this summer.
I am pleased to let you know that we are opening more widely for a few more young people.
Whitefield Schools and Joseph Clarke School will remain closed from the 1st June and will keep the wider opening for primary children under review.
From the 2nd June, Joseph Clarke School will be offering child care for the children of key workers, for the most vulnerable children – identified by our safeguarding team and by local social services – and for those whose needs cannot be safely met at home.
Our response to the Department for Education's plan for the re-opening of mainstream schools
The safety and wellbeing of our school community remains paramount and senior leaders and directors continue to feel that there are significant risks as set out in the letters you received on 16th and 18th March.
The whole academy, Whitefield Schools, Joseph Clarke School and Project Search will be closed from the end of the day on Thursday 19th March until further notice due to the continuing impact of the Coronavirus.
Congratulations to Chadia Filali-Moutei who has been appointed Headteacher for Joseph Clarke school. Chadia has been with Whitefield Academy Trust for 15 years and at Joseph Clarke School since 2016, most recently as acting headteacher.
