Whenever you go shopping online, you can get those shops to make a small donation to either the Friends of Whitefield (FOWS) or the Joseph Clarke Trust thanks to EasyFundraising.
It costs you absolutely nothing, you simply sign up and go shopping online. Both Joseph Clarke Trust and Friends of Whitefields are registered charities that do excellent work running events and raising money to provide extras for students at the two schools. You can find out more about what FOWS does here and Joseph Clarke Trust here.
Want to help? Of course you do. It's simple
1. Sign up
Either go to
- www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/josephclarke - Joseph Clarke Trust or
- www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/fowschool - Friends of Whitefield Schools
2. Then get the donation reminder
Normally, to raise funds you have to remember to visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk before you do your shopping and find the retailer you want to shop at in the directory and click on it.
It's easy to forget, so download the Donation Reminder browser plugin and install it. This brilliant little plugin reminds you whenever you visit a website that will donate to the school. It will even show which shops in your Google searches will donate most...
3. One gotcha - the donation reminder doesn't work with Amazon or Ebay :(
If you are shopping on Amazon, you have to remember to to Easyfundraising first. Sad. Here are the details.
4. or maybe you're a mobile shopper?
If you shop on your mobile phone, there are Easyfundraising apps for both Android and iPhone that make shopping a snap. You can find them in the app store.
5. That's it
The sheer number and variety of companies that will donate is huge - there are over 3,000 of them. There’s more than just shopping - insurance, travel firms, hotels, utlities - lots of companies will give FOWS or Joseph Clarke Trust a small cut of the amount that you pay.
