About Us

Whitefield Schools and Centre is one of the largest providers of Special Education in Europe with an international reputation for expertise, curriculum and resources. We are situated in the North East of London, within the Borough of Waltham Forest. We are a Foundation Special School catering for pupils who come from up to 30 different Local Education Authorities. We have more than 300 pupils on roll with a wide range of Special Educational Needs. In order to successfully address the learning needs of our children we operate as three Specialist Schools

  • Margaret Brearley School
  • Peter Turner Primary School
  • Niels Chapman Secondary School

Our Whitefield Research and Development Centre (WR&DC) organises training for school staff and other professionals and hosts an Outreach Service which supports pupils across the Local Authority.  It also houses an excellent library.
