Intervention
Speech and Language Therapy may be provided in one to one
sessions, in a
pair, group or through class based activities. The style of intervention provided will
be decided following the Speech and Language Therapists assessment of the
students' needs.
We feel it is important to work closely with classroom staff
in order to share
information about each student so that we can ensure a
consistent approach to
developing each student's skills.
We promote the use of Total Communication approach throughout
the school,
to maximise each student's potential to communicate. Objects of Reference,
photographs, Singalong and PCS symbols are found in most classrooms for this
reason
