The Whitefield Development TrustThe Whitefield Development Trust is a registered charity whose purpose is to raise funs and accept donations, which benefit pupils and students with special educational needs at Whitefield and in the wider community that we serve on an outreach basis. The Trust has raised capital to support a vigorous building programme undertaken during the last two decades. This includes the Z V M Rangoonwala Resource Centre for Professional Development and Information, the building which houses our School for Sensory Impairment and Learning Difficulties, the hydrotherapy pool, two adventure playgrounds and the Rebecca Goodman Centre which provides teaching accommodation for secondary aged pupils who require specialist support for their communication and interaction. The Trust's latest capital project, a new Physical Education/Sports Hall in 2005, was supplemented by a £300,000 grant from the National Opportunities Fund.
